„Once upon the time….

…there was a 17-year old boy who wasn’t able to resist from building his own bicycles. Not a cheap hobby because the parts are very expensive. He always talked about this problem to his father and as he needed new rims again, both came to the opinion that it should be possible to get them cheaper! The only way to get cheap stuff is to produce it in big quantities and so they placed an order to produce 1000 rims. But they only required two of them and so the father Robert (Rob) and his son Lukas founded a company (Robs’son) to sell the rest of 998 rims.

 And if they didn’t die.... they still sell rims till the end of their lives!”

This story began in 2009 and at this time we had just 3 different rims in 100 mm width in our range of products. What happened in the meantime you can see in our shop. Probably Robs’son is the supplier with the biggest and most colourful range of wide rims. And that not only in Germany, but also worldwide. And we are still going on for new ideas all around fat rims, also for people with “little money” in the pocket!

But now the story comes to an end! We sold thousends of rims to customers in the whole world in the last 15 years. But we always ran the business beside our regular jobs. Since a couple of years we run a outdoor restaurant business at a bike park in our area. Especially in summer times we had nearly no free time anymore by working on both jobs. So we decided to close our rim operations.
